Community Development Financial Institution

Cross Keys Bank has been designated by the U.S. Treasury Department as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) since 2014. Community Development Financial Institutions share a common goal of expanding economic opportunity in low-income communities by providing access to financial products and services for local residents and businesses. A CDFI must devote at least 60% of its total lending, services, and other activities to benefit these communities.

A mission of Cross Keys Bank is our commitment to providing opportunities to low-income and minority populations and communities. This is demonstrated through our impactful lending, deposit services, credit counseling and financial literacy activities.

The CDFI Fund was established by the Riegle Community Development and Regulatory Improvement Act of 1994. The purpose of the CDFI Fund is to promote economic revitalization and community development in low-income communities through investment in and assistance to CDFIs.

Language Assistance Plan
Cross Keys Bank is committed to providing Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals with meaningful access to translation and interpretation services for our banking products and services (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964).

The volume of service to LEP individuals is extremely small because of the demographics of the Bank’s market area. While the Bank has little to no day-to-day contact with LEP individuals, the Bank believes that all consumers, regardless of the language they speak, should have meaningful access to our products and services.

Upon request, and within reasonable time restraints, the Bank will provide translations of our documents into other languages, as needed. The Bank will not charge for said services, however, the Bank will decide how to allocate its resources for translation services based on relevance, time, or cost restraints.

Employees that encounter Spanish speaking individuals may seek assistance from the officer in the Shreveport branch that is fluent in Spanish.
